Doing my part to serve the Heebs
Yesterday we all volunteered at an army base and supposedly saved some soldiers enough time to go home to visit their families now that they're back from Lebanon. However, I'm still uncertain as to how much our work really helped the war effort. My team's job was to unload bags, sort each item (vests, uniforms, day packs, sleeping bags, etc.) and then put the stuff back where we found it... You know, to make sure that each bag had everything in it. Why this took 7 hours to do, I'm not really sure. We ate lunch in the paratroopers' cafeteria, and our meal consisted of the three major Israeli food groups: white bread, eggplant, and chick peas. Delicious.
